Chapman Tripp
The firm started as a sole practice in Wellington in 1875 and expanded, went through a variety of name changes before reverting to the Chapman Tripp name in 1949. The Auckland office was opened in 1962 and in 1985 the firm merged with Sheffied Young and Ellis. In 1997 the firm opened a Christchurch office.
Long regarded as one of the top law firms in the country, Chapman Tripp handles a broad range of legal services spanning corporate advisory and regulatory to energy, government, intellectual property and a range of other top-level services.
